Output testing on FTDI232?

Dear All.

I may be missing soemthing but I can't get an FTDI232 to output to a basic RGB Par,

Windows has detected and installed USB-Serial on COM3..
In FS setup I select Entec Open DMX, and it shows FTDI232.

We create a basic 3 Ch fixture, correctly addressed.

On the fixture we set the output levels (not sure this step is right ) using the little set of sliders shown to the right of the screen..

Is there something else we need to do.


(The interface works fine on QLC, so it's not a hardware issue)

Does the 'show output' window in FS actually show DMX values going out ?
