Evenin' All. The usual long time lurker first time poster here.
I run a modest lighting rig in a school Studio Theatre (indoor 2 teir amphitheatre, about 100 people capacity) comprising:-
an ancient set of parcans and fresnels controlled by a DMX dimmer pack. Old skool Gels and clamps agogo
4x Stairville PAR64 LED Parcans used currently for washes (Like these a lot, hoping to add a few more to fatten things out)
2x Stairville MV250H moving heads used as makeshift follow spots.
Freestyler running the lot of course. It replaces an older "Frog" hardware controller that has more battle scars than King Leonidas...
I'd like to replace the 2 moving heads with a smaller pair (maybe 4) of Showtec LED Microspots http://www.thomann.de/gb/showtec_micro_ ... g_head.htm . The hope is for less noise, physically smaller lights (ceiling bars are quite low and the lights can get in view sometimes), 0%-100% intensity and low maintenance.
Has anyone used these lights before? Advantages/Disadvantages? The output of the MV250H is bright enough for what we need, How do these compare?
Many Thanks!
Opinions please.

no but the led heads lok quite smart, you just need to ensure they have enought light output to fill your needs...
