FreeStyler Version: 36.6.

MIDI works for fader's but not notes

Hi, I'm a newbie to Freestyler and having problems with MIDI.
I can get the external control dialog box to learn and apply analogue values for things like the master intensity but not the notes or pads. When learning it reports a note on and a "note-off(144), 24-0-1" in the text box but will not trigger controls such "Toggle Blackout"
Many thanks for any advice

Ver 36 I've a Worlde Panda MINI running supplying MIDI notes and values to other software no problem.
