Re: unable to get output using dmxking
Obviously a very late reply to this, but I'm adding it here for reference for people who run into problems with Freestyler and ArtNet (like me).
I have a DMXking eDMX1 Art-Net/DMX adapter, which is configured on 192.168.0.111 and the default universe 1 configuration (address 0 in ArtNet).
My PC is configured on IP 192.168.0.11
I tried Freestyler, selecting Art-Net in the device, selected my network adapter (192.168.0.11) and left the default broadcast address, hit save. Nothing happened, no activity on my lights (after I've set up light fixtures). Turns out there are two issues:
a) The broadcast address has to be manually keyed in, there are no errors that it's not been entered. So change x.255.255.255 to 192.168.0.255
b) Freestyler doesn't take these changes until after you restart the program.
That did it for me, good luck!
