Hello,
Here's what I'd like to achieve.
We're building an installation where we need a few DMX-controlled lights to turn on at specific times in sync with an audio file. It's a long recording of narration, and the lights should illuminate certain objects and texts corresponding to the spoken text. It should be able to run unattended, looping for hours at a time. But without some kind of syncing, the lights and the audio drift apart from each other.
Is there a way to make them stay in sync? There are no beats in the audio file, so I don't know how to trigger cues in this case...
Any help is much appreciated! I really hope it could work.
Thank you!
Greg

You could play the file in Virtual DJ. There is a Freestyler plugin that will trigger the lights exactly when you need it to.

Thank you, but we can't buy another software license, we're over the budget already.DJDaveSA wrote:You could play the file in Virtual DJ. There is a Freestyler plugin that will trigger the lights exactly when you need it to.
Is there a freeware solution? Or could it be done with some kind of scripting?
