We have been using or trying to use Freestyler for a few months now but having some fundamental issues which prevent us from gigging with it.
It is almost certainly that we have not quite understood everything and any help/tips/pointers will be gratefully received.
Our test rig has 6 par cans, 2 gobo projectors, 2 barrel scanners, a centre piece and a 3D laser attached and physically connected using a eurolite DMX512-Pro.
The parCans are from different manufacturers and one required making a new fixture as did the centre piece light, a QTX Neutron II.
All lights work fine with Freestyler in a manual mode and when programming a sequence all fixtures behave as instructed.
When you then run this sequence from the cue list some of the fixtures work but most do not. The reason is because the lamp and/or dimmer channels are not set. If they are overridden then the sequence runs fine.
Of course we want to know that when we run a sequence it will properly run and all fixtures will automatically be switched on and we cannot migrate this to our full installation until we can figure this out.
We have programmed sequences in STATIC mode and TRANSPARENT mode but no difference to our problem.
We are grateful for any help preferred.

Re: Sequences will not set all channels for all lights
I prefer my lights not just to 'come on' when I power them up, but rather I fade up the masters / dimmers as I want them. But I travel around and need to be flexible, if you just want them always on at 100% then you could just edit your fixture files default value for lamp from zero to its full on value (on the channel description tab).
