Jump within Cues with only one action?

Post by RingK »

Hi guys, I have this situation i programmed (just for testing purpose ATM):
Image
I searched on the forum and tried some things, but i can't get what i want... Is it possible, with a single action (aka one button press on a mapped bcf2000 or on a touchosc layout) to go from REDwhite to REDgreen then to REDyellow, to REDmagenta and backto RED white, without having to select the cue I want and then pressing "run"? Something like a "Cycle between cues" button?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, but you need to run as a cuelist in the cue window instead of a submaster

And in this way, for every press of the button, it will go to the next cue in the cuelist? Or it will run automatically thru them?
What I'm trying to achieve is to assign a cuelist to a button, first press of it runs REDwhite and stays there, second press it goes to REDgreen and it stays there and so on... in this way I can do this?

Thanks for your help guys!

I tried what you guys suggested but it doesn't do what I want, unless I assign every cue to a different button. If i assign the entire cuelist to a button it runs automatically all the cues in the cuelist in sequence. But what i want, is the sequence to stop at each step, when i press a button it goes to the next step and stops. Is this possible?

Again, thanks for your help!

There is a free program called Go Monkey that someone on the forum wrote that should do exactly what you want. It works along side of Freestyler

Thanks for the tip, downloaded it, but i can't get it to work, can you point me to a tutorial?
I looked at the video to add cues to the cue stack, but when i try to execute it, i always get a "file not found error"...

Plus (I don't want to seem pedant) but this isn't 100% what i'm looking for, go monkey let you do what I'm asking, but only with one cuestack at a time, I'd like to do this with multiple cuestacks, as an example:

a button mapped to wash colors, when I press it, the colour changes to the next one and stops,
at the same time, a button mapped to spot colors, when I press it, the colour changes to the next one and stops.

Anyway, I guess this is not possible at the moment, I'll post a suggestion on the appropriate section of the forum, and thanks for your answers Partyman!

..so what your asking for is like a feature request for PREV and NEXT buttons on the submasters?

I guess a 'play/pause', 'previous', and 'next' button would be a lot easier for the DJ's amongst us to learn [emoji4]
But unfortunately it doesn't work that way at the moment

Not really, it would be enough to have a feature to have steps in a sequence to stop until you press a button, instead of going automatically to the next one after a specified time (step speed). I posted in "ideas and remarks" for this let's see if it's possible to implement it :) viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6666

You can create a sequence with all the steps you want and load into one of the sequence spots. To the right of the sequence (in the cue window) there are several buttons, the 2nd button from the right side allows you to set the sequence to manual trigger mode. The trigger is at the bottom of the cue window and can be midi assigned.

In Go Monkey you could put 1 step to a list and save each list then use the "Go" button to move between lists.

You could also map the buttons above sliders on your Behringer to trigger cuelists. putting only one step per list

I will try this method thank you!

I still have problems with gomonkey, getting file load error all the time, plus I need this kind of control for multiple sequences at once.

That's what in doing atm, but the buttons are limited in number :(

Thanks partyman for your support, it's really appreciated, it's always great to have someone more expert helping!

There should be 6 pages of 16 Cue buttons then 6 pages of 30 Override buttons.
That should give you a lot of combinations to choose from.

I think you missed the point, I know that I have many buttons available, but not one that can do what I'm asking in the OP.

You can sort of do this on the Submaster page by assigning the "Submaster 5 Go" and the "Submaster 5 Run" keyboard shortcuts to the same keyboard key.
There are two caveats, though:
-It won't bring you back to the top of the list.
-From what I can tell, it takes the "Run" command first, leaving the currently selected cue as the next cue it's going to trigger the next time you hit your keyboard shortcut. Maybe not the most intuitive thing when you glance at your submaster page.
I guess the good news is, presumably, you can assign as many/whichever subs to that single keyboard shortcut, advancing several subs at the same time with one button press.

Thanks, I will try this and see if it's practical to use :D
