Newbie set up help.

Post by krissherbert »

Hi Guys, been playing with freestyler as the Club where I work has just had it installed however, I'm getting a bit confused.

We have 2 sets of moving heads (different makes).

I want to set the touchscreen so we can select the movement, colour, and gobo on both or each group?

To do this, would i create a sequence, of just 1 colour, then another a different, etc, so red. green. blue. etc

Then create a load of sequences with different gobos. Swirl, triangle, star. etc

The add them to a cue list, where you can select more than one?

I want to try and keep the software as simple to use for the other dj's as possible.

I get how to create a scene, so the gobo, colour and movement is all set in that one. but what i'm looking for is the dj to be able to kinda do it on the fly, easier, so hits movement 1, red, gobo swirl, and can change movement or colour, or gobo at any time?

Looking forward to you help, thanks guys.

Actually, I might have just cracked this, Would I set up a cue list for each thing, with one option at a time, EG, 1 cue list Colours, 1 gobos, 1 movements?
