Subscript out of range

Post by wardomon »

I just got a "new to me" laptop. I freshly installed XP, drivers etc. and Freestyler 3.3.9. Loaded a backup from 3.3.9 from my other machine. I get a "Subscript out of range" error almost every time I save a location. It doesn't seem to be corrupting the files because they look and run fine. I get the error after I hit save.

I've been using 3.3.9 since it was released and it' works nicely. This just started on the new installation on different hardware. Any ideas?

I've tested version 3.4.0. The major rewrite has made it too unstable for live use.

It gets weirder.

When I loaded the backup from my main PC to the laptop, the cuelists and submasters were empty. Just like a new location. I copied everything into the main directory on the laptop via a thumb drive and it seems to be okay. I made a new backup and transfered that to the main PC and everything was empty again. ???

When I loaded the newest backup made on the laptop with 3.3.9 into 3.4.0 on the laptop, everything runs perfectly. Even the "subscript out of range" error when saving a location is gone. The new beta (3.4.0) now seems to be working fine.

I am so confused. I've got a gig this weekend. Next week I'm going do a complete re-installation of everything on the laptop, OS included.

Did this problem ever get solved? I have exactly the same problem....works fine on the desktop PC but comes up with this error everytime I try and create a sequence on the laptop. Possibly because the desktop is Windows 7 and the laptop is Windows 8? Any ideas? Cheers!
