I've got a weird problem.
I'm new to freestyler, but with the help of wiki I've created a new fixture (eurolite led par 56 rgb).
When I gave it a try and put dimmer to 255 the par itself only showed the color red! (??)
I tried switching red to 255 and suddenly it showed green light on the par.
same with green to 255, it shows blue.
It seems that the Dimmer channel is missing and the others have moved one ahead.
I use the enttec dmx open usb.
Please help! I've got a huge party today!!
Thanks!
yes, I've used the the fixture from the fixture library.
this problem accured with two different leds.
Eurolite LED par 56 RGB
Showtec Compact Par 7 Tri
fixture:viewtopic.php?f=61&t=5490
both have the same problem.
no "white" dimmer, instead i get color red, when I increase red in freestyler program the led shows green light.
when I increase green in freestyler i get blue color.
Like dimmer channel is missing in dmx channel, and color channels move one adress up.
So I've tested it in fixture creator, and removed the value for dimmer.
Instead now red is one, green is two, blue is three.
what strobe does, I don't know, but i've moved it up by 1 to four.
Now my led par has only 4 channels and works, red = red.
But how can this be??
I've used a predetermined fixture, my enttec dmx open usb is specifically supported by freestyler and I've only done basic activation.
How can the fixtures for two different led pars be just wrong?
And how can I use the dimmer now? because I can't with this configuration. ^_^'
for the eurolite led par i know you can use the showtec ledpar 56 its the same.
and the showtec compact par 7 tri as far as i know its oke i used it for a year. no problem.
but some lessons on DMX.
DMX is a stupid (that how they call it) protocal because it knows nothing. it just send 512 channels with a value of 0- 255 of information.
on the otherhand your smart and you know which fixture and channels you useing.
like the eurolite has a MODE channel on 6 so if you change the value on channel 6 ( or if you pathced it on channel 30 mode channel will be channel 36 ) you can change the channel layout. so normaly channel 1 is RED if you have channel 6 on value 230 (sound control) channel1 will not work anymore.
also if you put the fixture on channel 2 ( with dip switch) and the patched the fixture on FS on channel 1 all channels have a offset. because fs thinks Red is on channel 1. but your fixture is set on channel 2 so red will be channel 2
same as the compact par it has Modes only on the compact par you can change it on the device. and i made a fixture for the 8 channel mode
and the eurolite doesnt have a dimmer channel only Red green blue
