Loss of head movement when using cues

Post by jab1969 »

I think I am doing something wrong.
I have set up some sequences for my par bars but when i run them my moving heads stop moving.
the heads are not included in the sequence but are affected by it.
Does anyone know what I am doing wrong.

Thanks

Are you sure they aren't in the sequence?? I've made mistakes before and they've been included by accident. What exactly are you doing when you record a sequence?

I did wonder I just chose the lights i want to alter. but i wondered if all the others are recorded in there current state in each step. how do you ensure you only affect the lights you want to affect?

I found this out also thinking I could just use the movements on the fly. In truth the movements are only guaranteed when used in a sequence.

When you a create a sequence, you have to two options by selecting options in the bottom left hand corner. Then you select either "static" or "transparent".

Static will let you set the lights as you want them and then record the entire estate.
Transparent will mean you can record different fixtures and not everything, but only when they are set to “Fade” / “Snap”. If they are set to "OFF" then it will not work, as they are not included in the programmer!!
