Change range and dynamics of Moving Heads
Hi, I have set up some cuelists which include moving heads. The movements are from the auto shape facility in the pan and tilt window. I need to change the dynamics/range of the heads movements i.e. point down further, larger sweeps etc. Firstly how can I do this please and secondly what is the quickest way I can update my existing cuelists (if there is a way). Thanks for any help in advance.

Re: Change range and dynamics of Moving Heads
FS has a pan/tilt resize option under preferences. It's normally used to make the movements of a scanner or movers smaller (ie not to blind the Dj if set up next to them). It looks like it might be used to make the movements up to 20% larger tho I'm not sure if it works with the shape presets.

You can edit the shapes to make the movements more dramatic/larger/smaller. The easiest way would be to just increase the size of the shape

Re: Change range and dynamics of Moving Heads
Bump to this post. Just getting my feet wet here. I have two spot250's that I would like to use on a totem. Currently, the pan/tild control only bring the head horizontal. Would like to be able to go beyond horizontal and point to the ground. HALP!

Re: Change range and dynamics of Moving Heads
Sometimes is can be the pan and tilt information in the fixture file.
eg. Tilt Range 270 Degrees Pan Range 570 Degrees.
Make sure your fixture file doesn't have 180 Degrees as it's tilt range.

Re: Change range and dynamics of Moving Heads
I checked the fixture profile and It's 540/270. Output shows a max tilt of 255 When using the pan/tilt control window and bringing the tilt as far down as possible. I must be overlooking something obvious. Anyone have any ideas?

Re: Change range and dynamics of Moving Heads
Check that the fixtures themselves, the tilt isn't set to 180.
It can be set on most fixtures manually. Maybe just full reset the fixture.
