I have cuelists on cuelist buttons with several chases in each. To use GO Monkey, I have to recreate these in each cue. It would be nice if each cue in GM could be a cuelist in FreeStyler...
Iv decided for the time being not to add this feature, i don't think it would add much considering the time taken to implement it.
Also considering how GM is used each cuelist would need require manual adjustments, to add loops, wait times and halt on play options.
Thanks for the response, and for considering this. I also appreciate the reply about MIDI. I'll try some different things, but it's good to know how it is supposed to work so I don't try typing in the box anymore. Perhaps on a future revision you could make the MIDI input boxes not editable...
Thank you.
I am willing to pay for a timeline in go monkey. If you can add a timeline to go monkey so we can program scenes to a click track and song I will pay hundreds for that feature! Or even a whole aerostats plugin for FS!
Is there a way to use the cue list in freestyler like gomonkey? When I try to use the cue list in FS it plays all my sequences at once, I only want at a time.

Little more detail required.
How are you controlling the haze machine?
do the sequences work out of goMonkey?
Check the out put screen, is it as you expect?
GoMonkey simply pases sequences names to FS, so is unable to "mess" with anything, check sequences for rogue channel values.
As a theatre and AV tek who's struggled with Freestyler's lack of real theatre stack support, may I thank you for creating such a functional piece of software! I have only found it recently, but it has seriously changed how I can use FS in my day-to-day operations. Cheers!
My main usage of FS/GM is via show control software called SCS. it can send midi out, and here is where i ran into some challenges with GM:
when GM looks for midi notes, it expects them from a 'real' source. in this way, if i click in the 'learn' box for the 'go' command, then click in my show control software (to lanch the midi send cue), the click away from GM is registered, and i can no longer input into the learn box!
I solved this by placing my midi cues to be learned on a timer in SCS , so they happen automatically, and i don't need to leave the GM window. It is however a little cumbersome, but it works so no big deal! (it took me a few hours of head scratching to figure this out, believe me!)
also, now that my control systems are working well with GM/FS, I am finding the need for a 'Back to Top' function in GM more and more. using midi to go 'back' flicks through each cue live, so a function to go to the top of the cue list would eliminate any odd little lx changes.
would it be possible to integrate a 'back to top' functions?
thanks in advance,
Thanks so much for the development Mattotone. It works very well. Apologies for the delay in testing - i got knocked out by a virus over the weekend and am just coming round!
re: midi 'on focus': There's no major need to change it - the way GM accepts midi is fine. I simply thought it would be worth highlighting the method to the community
I have my haze setup through freestyler as a haze controlled by the haze button in freestyler. So it has nothing to do with the sequences. I manually turn the haze on in freestyler then go to GM and start the show and it will work for a few seconds and once I start going through cues it starts to stop and start and becomes dis functional. I can't see why it would do this. Anyone else have problems with haze/fog while using GoMonkey?
Thanks
I'm trying to order my setlist once I've created the XML cues but it only loads them in alphabetical order. Is there a way to reorder the list in go monkey without having to resort to renaming the xml files with a number prefix each time I want to change the running order.
Hey. How do I cue up 2 difference scenes at the same time in gomonkey?
Example:
Pars changing colors in one scene + And backlights going crazy in another scene = both playing at same time in gomonkey.
Any help? Thanks
When creating a show , In the editor the left hand list is a scene in the show i.e the list that you will "Go" through. The list on the right is the sequences that play per scene.
So add both sequences in the same scene and they will both play.
Hi, I've tried that and what happens is the sequence on the bottom plays and loops fine and the one on the top plays the first "step" of the sequence and pauses- it does not loop even if I select loop. I cannot get it to work. Hmm...
Does anyone in here know how I could trigger my midi controller in Ableton Live or Reaper so I can program gomonkey scenes to songs with click tracks via ableton live?
hi, i am trying to make an automated show with gomonkey by triggerring gomonkey by midi notes through a DAW. im using Reaper. gomonkey needs an option to type in the midi notes bevause i cant get it to work. watch this video and youll understand. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7Va9t3 ... tu.be&hd=1
