RGB Fading [SOLVED]

Post by Nathanrs93 »

Is there a way to fade from Red to Green to Blue, without it going through any other colours? I know I can do it while "snap" is active just wanted to do same with "fade".

Cheers

Thanks what I'm doing, but it seems to be mixing colours. For example if you fade from red to green it makes brown?

you have to fade out of each color before going to the next color in order to avoid colormixing

So does that mean I have to but a "blackout" step in between each step? So its red>blackout>green>blackout>blue? etc?

Perhaps try it in 3 steps to avoid black out or quick shift in colours.
Step 1 Red Full Step 2 Red fade down to say 20%. Step 3. fade red 0% fade blue 100%

Adjust timings of steps to have smoth fade. adjust levels of step 2 to desired brightness / reduce colour mixing effect.

You need a Virtual Intensity.
By default RGB are each intensities. 3 Channel Mode.
You need to have RGBI. This way you can mix the colour then fade in with the Intensity. :) I know I have a bunch of LED Bars that are RGB only. 3 Channel but I have LED Pars that are 5 Channel RGB Strobe and Dimmer (Intensity.) :) The 3 Channel are difficult to fade in out with only RGB Control. Need the Dimmer/Intensity part to fade in the overall intensity with the colour already mixed.
