I am starting a new music project, now I'll be a dj and gonna play house.
So I was thinking how I gonna program the lights for my show.
I have some lights but is pretty small my pack, and normally Eletronic Houses just have a lot of lights in there.
I was thinking about use the lights from the house and sync every single show, for different places, lights, and things...
My question is, there is a clever way, to sync every show, even with different lights, adress, places, or I need to come to the place 3 days before, and program everything always from the zero point?

Re: Program for different gigs
If you wanted to you could pre-program with 3D easy view, so it cuts your time down and it's done when you get there. If it's only a simple setup then I'd been looking into it, as it might help you out a bit. However, like you said you could be there a few hours and program it before the show from scratch and see it properly from a audience point of few.
I would though if you did pre-program, that you still get there a few hours before to check things over. I've done pre-programming in the past and its had a few issues, due to me not programming correctly but still it's good to double check. It's all up to you really as it's how you want your show to look and feel.

Re: Program for different gigs
I've never had much luck with using 3D easy view. But, if you go in and set up your show at a location the first time (which could take hours) and then save the location, that should keep your stuff from the first time. Then, when you come back, you just load that location. I agree with Nathan...it's always a good idea to show up a few hours early to test things out. You never know...you might end up with a bad DMX cable or something.
