hi all.
Ive been having issues getting one of the cheap uDMX interfaces to work with Freestyler (or any other program for that matter). I've tested this on 32 and 64-bit versions of Windows 7.
Basically, I install everything properly. And I get a response from the interface, ie the little green light flashes when I send out a signal. but the red light is still on constantly (don't know if this is a bad thing)
But no matter what I do, the lights won't respond.
Ive tested this with a laser and several moving head lights which definitely work.
I am using a dmx terminator (have tried without and with another)
I can't even get a response from the config program.
The drivers were from the illutzmination website. Have also tried with the cd that came with it.
Im using latest version of Freestyler
Thanks guys

Re: uDMX Interface issue
Just wondered if you worked out what the issue was? Tried mine in xl vista and 7! Replaced unit twice as well.

Re: uDMX Interface issue
FWIW, I just received my uDMX usb / dmx dongle. I had the same problems until I uninstalled the current version of Freestyler and installed the one that the manufacturer supplied: FreeStyler3.4.6. Works like a champ.
I found another thread that may be useful (thinking that the newer driver may help but haven't tried it yet).
If your uDMX manufacturer supplied a version of FreeStyler, you might try installing it to see if it works
Hope it helps -
