Freestyler & Vdj on same laptop

Hi guys,
I'm thinking of purchasing the Enttec USB Pro and using the freestyler software to control my lights. The question I have is will my midi controller still function when freestyler is working in the backround while i'm using my Dj software (virtual DJ). With my current software (mydmx) the midi single stops working if the program is minimised... thanks in advance !!!

I believe it runs fine to my knowledge from other people's views and opinions in the past, I've never used it myself personally though.

It works well and you can map your DJ midi controller to control Freestyler through VDJ.

cheers guys for the advice, I've just ordered the Enttec dongle and I hope to be programming my lights next week. I've a Korg Nano Pad for the midi but I'm a bit caught for space in my console setup. I was thinking of using an android tablet to control the lights, can a tablet be linked via usb running the freestyler app instead of creating my own wifi network as I like to be able to have you tube available for those unusual requests!!

No its not possible with USB unless you now a Way to Run a Virtual Midi connection from the tablet to PC. (and use a Midi app) the freestyler use the TCP/IP port to connect to Freestyler.
but so far as i know its not possible.
