SOUND 2 LIGHT

Post by dyno »

Hi, I'm Dino,
I'm a new entry in the Forum.

I'm using FS since five years. Now I tryed to use also the Sound2Light feature,
but it seems not working.

I configure three sequences that just change the colors of some PAR LED, and put them on a dedicated CUE.
I selected the first three sequences on the dedicated menù on the S2L configuration tab.
I select also the "react to sound" for the fixtures and set also the "React to sound" button on the CUE windows.
Then I press the start button, the vu meter start to move but ...nothing happen on the LED...!!
Where I'm wrong? Someone can help me?

Thank you!

You should see the steps on the sequence in the cue list move forward on every beat.

You mean the 'Sequence restarter' configuration section?
From the wiki:
Sequence restarter: When using the beat multiplier there is an option to restart selected sequences to step 1 when a real beat is detected. This allows flashing of strobes or other fixtures on the beat.
It could make sense nothing happens when you don't have the multiplier enabled. (as on every beat the sequences would be set to step 1. And the next beat to step 1 and then to step 1. So it will not do anything.
Please deselect all sequences selected in the sequence restarter and try again.

If still not working please review all your settings using this page: http://www.freestylersupport.com/wiki/sound_2_light
Read titles: 'Using the Sound to Light' and 'Jump to next scene'

If you still can't get it to work, then create screenshots of the S2L config section and Freestylers 'sound 2 light' screen. Post it here, maybe we see things then.

When I installed FS on a new machine, STL was set to 'jump to random cue'. Make sure when you open STL its set to 'Jump to next scene'.
