Freestyler Touch - Problem transfering settings [SOLVED]

Hi,

using FS for a long time, I now buyed a Touchscreen to improve my live performance.

Programmed an testet under a Windows 7 x64 - System with 8 GB RAM and Quad-Core , I copied the files in the subdirectories TouchUI (including the edited Backgrounds) to my Live-System (Windows XP x86). And it doesn't work. I can open the file, but all the buttons will displayed on Page 1 (of 5). Faders and backgrounds won't be loaded an displayed. Moving to another page, e.g. 3, will display a random background and no buttons.

The Live-System meets the hardware requirements.

Setting up a new Windwos 7 x64 system doesn't help. Same issue.
Testing 2 other systems brought a not traceable problem for me.
Loading the touchsettings on a Windows 7 32bit system with 2 GB RAM an INTEL E6700 will work fine, on a Windows 7 x64 with 24 GB RAM and 2 Quad-Cores not.

The configuration-file so work both on x86 and x64 systems and with low and high specifications. Also I've looked in the installed software and could not find larger differences which I might be responsible for the error. Working fine on my "programming"-system with Win x64 I exclude the operating System as cause of the problem, working fine on an old E6700-system I will also exclude the system performance.

Btw. I've already tried out so start FS as administrator and changing the privileges of the c:\FreeStyler Folder. No solution.

Anybody an idea for solving my problem?

For the background issue i know the Instlal direcory needs to be the same on both System otherwise FS doesnt know where the Background images are..

As example on the .FTS file a Background image is saved as "C:\freestyler\TouchUI\backgrounds\XXX.BMP or JPG"
is the directory path is differnt the background will not be loaded.


And if you add the signs "/" or "\" and you try to open the FTS on a other sytem it can also give some errors.

and be sure you have the same FS version on each system because there have been allot of Touchscreen updates in the past..

Hi Spirit,

thanks for your efforts an quick answer.

The Backgrounds are all in the same folder.
I removed all manual entered text and signs. Only blank Buttons leave.
Versions at all Systems is 3.5.2.

The problem can't be resolved.

Are there any dependencies on Java, Framework, VB .... ?

realy strange i realy think its a issue on the .FTS maby you can upload it for me so i can take a look at it..

But my program and Beta/testing testing PC is a AMD FX6100+ (6x3.3Ghz, 8Gbram, ATI 6870X2, 2x SSD 60Gb RAID0, 2x HDD 1T.) windows 7 64Bit..

and for live i use 2 differnt laptops both Intel 2x1.3Ghz 3GBram a realy bad Video familycard
One with Windows 7 and 8 64bit dualboot and the other Windows XP 32bit and i have no issues at all..
work prefect for me..

I simply zipped the TouchUI folder, including the config and background files.
If there's any problem with the visualisation, pls. send me a short info. I will upload screenshots of the functioning system.

Funny i see the devolper also added the touchscreen interface i use

but i get the same issue as you get..
all buttons are on the same Touchscreen page..
i also dont get the Background images.

but i wil take a look at your .FTS file to see for any faults..
only you use ALLOT!!!! of buttons so it will take me a while before i will see the issue..

and some images are allways nice to have..

EDIT:
oke funny i allready found the issue..i also found why i did not get the background images thats because i give the directory a other name...

but you issue is related to your language.
because you can open the .FTS with the Notepad and this links how it works

but there are some True and False on the .FTS

and i think you are german it changed to Wahr / Falsch
and FS doesnt understand this.

THANKS A LOT!

I'ne never mentioned that there are parts with another language. Perhaps, because on 2 of 4 systems the file would have operate without errors. Why has the language changed temporary in the config? The systemlanguage always has been the same: german.

Ready to work with the corrected file. A few details have to been changed and the DIV page for Midi (AKAI APC20) to be added.
