In need of an older version...

Post by rcarmichael »

Hello,
I am new to FS. I usually use Martin LightJockey, but now as I have purchased an Entec Controller I am migrating to FS.
The only issue I have so far encountered (as I am used to it in LJ, and use this feature regularly) is syncing light cues to audio cues (not beats, timecode within the audio file).
I have read the forums and see that previously Winamp allowed you to do this, but was removed.
I was wondering if anyone could please post an older version, where Winamp was still supported (I think it was stopped after 2.5, but I could be wrong).
I have looked on the forums, and Google extensively for old versions, but all links are broken.
Any assistance you can offer is much appreciated.
Sincere regards,
Ryan

This can be accomplished using any midi sequencer. Check the freestyler facebook theres a good video showing it done with cue base

Thank you for your reply.
That's good to hear, that a comparable function exists.
Only problem is I've never used midi before. I read the wiki and forums, but I am still confused.
Most of the articles describe a button interface where each button sends a different midi command. But I am trying to program the lights to change a cue on an audio cue, like in the Facebook video.
Can you please point me in the direction of where I can learn about how to use midi in this situation ( from the very start)?
Thank you!
Ryan
