Overrides! Help!

Post by Nathanrs93 »

Hey peeps,

I'm in the middle of programming a number of different things and wanted to answer a simple question. I'm programming different sized setups and looking on youtube for different ideas for movements, cues, timing, etc. When I've done this it feels that people are using the overrides to play certain movements??

How is it possible to play movements on overrides?? I thought it only read the first 2 steps and when I've tired to program two steps, it doesn't work??

Tips, hints, Suggestions?

/Nathan

Overrides only play the first step in a sequence, and snap to that step (no fades). Unfortunately, shapes are not played in overrides either (submitted as a bug), so as far as I know, you can't program movement to an override button, at least for now.

However the overrides do work great for snapping to a static scene. For example, you could have a sequence playing with a shape, then assign an override to slap the movers to a "blinder" position... Or say you have 4 movers, you could set up 4 buttons for each step of a can-can type sequence and be able to do it manually... Lots of ways to be creative without actually having the have movement in the overrides :)
