I've got my movers working very well with the colors and gobos so far (minus one issue not important here)
using the methods here:
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=5088
and I've got 20 pars that need to operate in parallel with them. Since you can't cascade the FX engine (why????) effects, I have been trying with little resolve to get what I need done.
So I want to do a simple chase just using 4 of the 20, so a 1 of each RYGB pars I want to "chase" forward, and then "chase" reverse. So I used the generator to make both patterns, fwd and rvs, and dump each in the cue.
Now the problem is that they need to run while the movers run, and the option to run multiple cues simultaneously is what is needed to make my movers work correctly, the problem is that the pars would be subject to running fwd and rvs at the same time in the cue, which just doesn't work clearly.
So what are my options? I really want to use the FX generator because its fast and easy and minimizes errors, outside of having to hand select each par, but more importantly, the COOL effects like sine are nearly impossible to do by hand. I want to use those effects.
How do I solve this problem? I am not using submasters for anything, cue list buttons only since I'm a one man show and its press and forget operation.
Does anyone have any thoughts on how to approach this issue?
thank you
Chris
