Hi All,
I have only just dived into the DMX world and so far am not having a great time. I have 20 Par64 LED cans and I use them for a band. I have a proper desk controller but it is limited in that it only does hard changes between scenes and not fades.
So I bought a USB - DMX interface and am not trying to find software that will do this easily. Freestyler is really screwing with my head. I cannot see any way of creating a scene, only a sequence. And then if I assign a sequence to a cue, I end up getting stacked sequences. For example, I run my red sequence and it fades in nicely. Then I run my blue sequence and the red one stays on too instead of fading out and letting the new scene take over.
Am I missing something? Is Freestyler better for DJ's than bands? Is there a far less complicated free version out there that would suit someone doing band lighting that depends on soft fades between scenes etc?
I would really love any help or advice I can get.
TIA
Calsonic...

In short: You have the same problem like here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4884
If You turn on red lights in one scene, you have to turn it off in blue scene (set red values to zero).
Thats all.
