Hello all,
I have been experimenting for a while with FS to see if it will work for our new lighting controller. It seems to be an awesome program which should do it ALL. However, I keep getting some strange behavior.
We have a simple 16 PAR 56 rig right now...so I set up 4 - 4 PAR lights and have been trying to tinker with the override buttons. I can program sequences great and they seem to run fine. After reading another forum page, I tried setting up override buttons. I set the lights to where I wanted them...then hit save and clicked save to button. All that works fine. The problem is when I use the buttons....I can push button 1 and the light output shows the correct lights on. If I push button 2, it does not turn off button 1 but adds to it...if I push button 3 it adds to the other two buttons instead of turning them off.
The reason this is strange is that a couple days ago I simply added some chases I already had to the override buttons and each button push would turn the last button off (exactly what I wanted), it would not play the whole chase...only the first scene, but at least button 2 would turn off 1...button 3 ould turn off 2, etc.
Eventually we'll be adding some intel fixtures, but I would like to get the quirks out now with the simple PARS.
Is it just me or is FS acting weird? Which way is normal?

Re: FS confused or me?
Ken, you must make sure every channel on your lights is set to snap or fade. If you leave anything "off" then it thinks that you want to stack your scenes. There is also a "Static" mode and a "transparent" mode for programming. Read the manual to make sure that you understand the difference.

Wow...okay. That could be the problem. Do they need to be set to fade or snap even if the light is turned off? I'll have to check the manual out more closely, I guess. I was getting fairly comfortable with FS getting it to do what I wanted, but this was getting a little frustrating. Thanks.
