Blinder/blast override?

Post by CaptainBetty »

Hey everyone..

I run lighting for a band and occasionally want to do a blinder/blast of white or red during the show for the big hits (boom! boom! boom!) during a song.

I have most everything programmed in sub-masters (colors in a sm, dimmers in a sm, etc...)

I haven't' been too successful in coming up with a solution to have everything blast white at a push of a button.

I made two sequences (all colors at white or red - one step snap) and another to control the just dimmers (on then quick fade/ two step). But selecting and firing those off live is a pain since they're in separate sm's and doesn't always work as expected.

Any suggestions on how to pull this off?

Thanks... so at least I was in the right area - kind of figured the override buttons would be the ticket.

Just tried it and that's what I want! I configured the button as a flash button and loaded my all white scene (setting all dimmers to 100% and all cans to white).

Only thing that would make this even better would be to provide some way to do a quick fade-in-out. Any chance of that happening?

No, because the overide buttons are "Buttons" so ON or OFF.
no fade time or scene time..

you neeed to use the cue window or Submasters to add a Scene or fade time.
