Manual Step Only Chase

Post by Balk2K »

Hi all,

Getting into using FreeStyler and it's a fantastic piece of software.

What I'm trying to do at the moment is figure out how I can load a chase from a submaster which doesn't step automatically, it will only react to the manual trigger. Ideally the speed fader for that slot in the cue would affect the fade time only. I've tried ramping the speed way up to something longer than I'm likely to want to advance the chase during a show but it would be better if there were no chance it would step automatically. Is this possible?

Thanks for the help!

After playing around a little, I think the only way to achieve almost this kind of functionality is to have a submaster set up with a list of one step scenes which form the chase you wish to manually step through and then use the GO and RUN buttons to step through it. I don't think it's possible to loop back to the beginning, though so maybe a one minute step scene is more appropriate, except for the downside of automatic advancement every minute.
