Fixture File Format Request

Post by gbestwick »

Hello!

I was wondering if there was any place the the fixture file format is documented?

I've had a few problems with complex fixture files self destructing and want to make a "fixture repairing" program.

If there is documentation for that, it would be great!

Cheers

hi.
on the new beta there have been MANY!!! fixes for Fixture creator.
so the only thing i can say is Wait for the new beta and see if that work.
if that does not work the only thing to do it recreate the fixture.

Hej gbestwick.

The fixture file format is expanded/changed from time to time and I don't think Raphael uses much time on documenting things.
He is occupied with the funny stuff.

If you have fixture files or try to create fixtures and Fixture Creator fails then please try to replicate the error eventually ask for support here in the forum.

If you have any idea of how the fails occure and can replicate it then put into the bug tracker.

It is the only way to improve the software.

Thanks.

I've actually sent in the bug via the email.

I've looked at the files and I've contemplated suggesting an implementation that would eliminate all of the bugs with the files. (And create a whole new generation of bugs!!)

My idea is based upon using XML files, and all of the wonderful mature libraries that are available to use them.

I'm wagering the software isn't open source though?

Cheers
