Hello guys!
I have a question about submasters and strobe. Is there any way to make a submasters intensite slider control the strobe speed? I want to control one stroboscope, and the strobefunction on both my movingheads and ledbars. I want to run all other attributes with separate submasters, and probably override buttons for stuff like blacking out everything except the stroboscope which goes on say full effect , and stuff like that.
I think I´ve figured out how to use the SM´s to colourmix my ledbars and got sequences to run from submasters now, so I´d like to use SM´s as much as possible, to make it easier to run.
So, what would be the best way to control strobespeed? I want a fader to controll the speed, and I´d like to be able to controll the strobespeed on the different lights, either individualy or all at once. I would prefer to not having to change from controlling submasters to manual controll, with the BCF2000.
Perhaps I should just use manual override for strobespeed, and dedicate one fader on the BCF for that? Could I still use override buttons without having to release stuff all the time?
I could of course probably make an overridebutton that turns on the strobe with intensity, and the speed will be what the manual override says?
On the other lights, I dont think I´ll program anything directly with the strobefunction, so using manual override might not be a problem..
What do you guys say? what would be the best way for me? and is it possible to make the SM intensity slider controll the strobespeed? I cant seem to make it do that now..

hi
YES! there is a way to control the Everything you like with the SMintensitie slider.
just patch some parcans(Intensitie channels) on the Correct DMX channel.
so as example your Strobe speed works From 0 to 255 and you have stobes on Channel 50, 52 and 54
one for the Intensitie en on for the speed.
now if you patch 3 parcans on channel 51, 53, 55 and create a 1step Sequence that says "255" with the 3 parcans.
you can also do it if the speed range is shorter like allot of other fixture have.
you just make a New Custom fixture with just one 1channel with the speed channel on the Intensitie channel.
so as example you have ledcans and they look like this:
1=Red
2=green
3=blue
4=Intneisite
5= Strobe range = 128 to 255
so you can create a Fixtire with one channel Intensitie channel = 1 MIN=128 MAX=255
you have patched the ledcans on channel 1, 6 and 11.
so you patch your special fixture on channel 5, 10 and 15
i hope you understand it but its the only way
----------------------------
and if you use a BCF you can also assigne one fader as MIDI to DMX fader so you can control that channel.
BUT you can only control ONE dmx channel on ONE fader this way.

Hej Spirit.
Nice work-around.
