I have 2 COLORrails in 26ch mode. On the "colors" tab I get the 8 boxes for control of the RGB segments, but when I'm trying to program a sequence, the fade and snap buttons are not working correctly...for example...
I want to make a red chase from the right to left side, with no fades. I select the first segment set it to red and snap, set step 1, remove color from segment 1, and select segment 2 and set to red, make sure snap is selected, set step 2, and so on down the line.
When I go to playback the sequence sometimes a step will have a fade other times it won't, even though I've set the button to snap. Also if I go back and change something, I see the fade button is selected, and it doesn't keep my original selection. Why is this happening?

Re: Programming sequences with RGB segments
oke strange, i tried to create a sequence and it work OK.
but for now i recommend to use the "right side sliders" because these are more reliable.
as i sad i found a bug and i found it on the colorpicker and it only happins with RGB segements.

Re: Programming sequences with RGB segments
I have an other question on sequences with RGB segments, is it possible to use the FX generator for say a Ledbar that has 3 RGB segments defined? I tried it in the previous version of FS, and it didnt work, if I selected only one ledbar fixture it said that I needed to select more, and if I selected say two ledbars it treated it as just 2 fixtures, not as 6 RGB segments. And that really bothered me;) If I cant use FX with RGB segments, well then RGB segments is not only pointless, but a big hindrance when you want to program sequences.
Please tell me that I did something wrong, or that it works in the latest release (havent had time to test that yet)
The RGB segments works just fine running manually, and programming sequences by hand, just timeconsuming to select the different segments, when there is a FX generetor that can create chases and such instantly.
On my last gig/hire I made two new fixtures, one "start"fixture for mode and shutter channels and one for the rgb segmens, which I just inserted 3 per ledbar, so 12 fixtures for 3 ledbars, but now I could use FX, and it worked great:) I´m always short on time, and almost always use a different setup for each job, more often than not we dont really know where we are gonna place the lights before we get there, so it good to be able to generate seqeunces fast;)
I use the Stairville DMX RGB 252 Ledbar.
Also, I had a problem getting my ledbar sequences to run with submasters, the indicators in FS said it was running, but I didnt get any output, but I probably did something wrong here, not at all good with submasters yet, trying to learn

Re: Programming sequences with RGB segments
hi and yes your right the FX does not work with a RGB semgent.
because the FX can only controll 1x RGB from 1 fixture
the only way to solve this is the way you allready did.
to add each segement seperate as 1 Fixture
i allready ask the devolper if he likes to change that, it he is not planing to change that.
and with the submasters, try to slide the slider next to a Submaster

Re: Programming sequences with RGB segments
Spirit, Thanks:) But it is a bit of shame that the FX doesnt work with the RGB segments, I kinda thougt that was the whole point
But sure, it works good as I did it now, just many times more cumbersome, and clutters the screen more;) Gonna have to make better/smaller pictures for the different segment. Lucky that my ledbars only have 3 segments:P
It just takes to long to make the sequences fully by hand with the RGB segments, atleast it feels like that now. Even more so when you cant assign the RGB segment selectors to Midi, or can you?
Yeah, I think that may have been my problem with the submasters:P gonna check it right now:) Thanks!
