Grouping/Organizing Lights

Post by tkodarkside321 »

I've been looking through the wiki's but haven't really seen anything that explains how to organize the lights when patching them into freestyler.

I would like to be able to add the lights in and group them together as they are on stage. As they are now when I patch the lights, they just all make one big line on the desktop and wrap around. This makes it a little confusing when trying to create scenes. I have to rename each light so that I know which one I'm using. I have also created seperate zones and added the lights into the zones (this makes it a little easier to create scenes)

I'm a little on the OCD side when it comes to stuff like this and would like everything to be neatly organized on the desktop. Any help in this area would be much appreciated!!! Thanks!!!!

If you go to "Edit" and select "Move fixtures", you can grab each light and move it anywhere on the page. You can also add a custom background to make it look more representative to your stage as well. Put your custom .jpg background pic in the C:\Freestyler directory. To add a custom background, right click in grey area in Freestyler and select "background". Now select the custom pic you added. Attached is an example of one of my backgrounds.
