Using Freestyler as a spotlight?

Post by djharryg »

Ok.... I want to be able to press a button and have all my lights aim towards the front door. Then another button to aim the lights towards a cake table?

How do I do this in Freestyler? Do I simply create "1 scene" cues and label them "door" and "table"? Then, just run them from the Cue list?

I know with a hardware controller, I simply press scene 1 (in bank 1) and that button is programmed to have the lights aim at the door. etc..

postion lights on door using pan tilt make sure they are set to snap, now choose white and an open (Round) gobo make sure they are set to snap now go through all the other settings off your light and other lights and select OFF save it and check save to buttons do the same for the cake (postioned at the cake of course) make sure all other lights and features have 'OFF' only snap on the movement to the postion and select white for your spotlight and a round gobo for a big spot...

now there assigned to buttons,

open up buttons window,

right click them or whatever you do and make sure they are set to flash (the cake and the door seq),

now go open the fs settings and keyboard shortcuts,

map button 1 and 2 (or whatever button its on) to 1 and 2 on the keyboard,

all done?

close all windows press 1 if it does the desired effect press 2 does it move okay and go to white?

ok...

so lets say 1 is doors 2 is cake

start your lights doing a normal cue

anything you'll be playing normal now press and hold 1 there ya go you cake is lit up! but beacause you set the off's your other lights keep the dancfloor etc going, let go off 1 and your lights go back to doing whatever they were the same goes to pressing and holding 2 all set lights on door other lights carry on as normal!

press 1 or 2 for a second and then off a second then on again and you can flash the object and raise attention in the direction of what your pointing at!
