USB loses connection

Hi,

I'm using freestyler for about 2 jears now and I really like it! But recently I updated my laptop from winXP to windows7 and now if I trie to run freestyler the USB-DMX loses connection usualy in 1 to 10 minutes.
This is really annoying becouse to fix it I have to restart Freestyler and remove the USB cable for a short while.

I've tried everything, new USB drivers, , motherboard drivers, .NET software upgrade (I read somewhere that it might help) but nothing helps!

My setup:
Dell Latitude D830, 1.8 Ghz Dualcore, 4GB Ram

Freestyler 3.4.4 (latest version)
6 scans (simple ones, 6 DMX channels each)
8 Parcans
Sweetlight USB-DMX cable
Freestyler output set to "Eurolite USB-DMX"

Its worth mentioning that I've had this problem before with WinXP, but it's quite a while back and i'm not sure how I fixed it back then. But it always ran fine on this laptop with these fixtures, so it should be able to work.

Someone any suggestions?

Sorry for my double-post, but can no-one help me? I really need a solution becouse I have a gig soon...

i think because NO-one can help you.
the only thing i can say is Go back to the previous Operating system or maby you have a other laptop or you can borow a laptop with Xp from some one else.

That should work... I just hoped that I could use my new windows.

Yes i understand, but i also Use Win7 Home Premium 64bit and i have no problems.
i use the Enttec pro.
so in the end it's still strange.
