"Reset Fixture" timer

Post by Hambone »

I have 4 American DJ AccuSpot 250-II fixtures that occasionally get confused. I have created new fixture files for them (the stock ones aren't accurate, I'll upload the new ones shortly) and defined the reset channel and value.

Depending on where the fixture is in the physical DMX chain, it takes anywhere from 5-10 seconds for it to respond to the reset command. I read somewhere (don't remember where) that right-clicking on a fixture and selecting "Reset Fixture" will send the reset value on the reset channel defined in the fixture file for 6 seconds. Looking at the DMX output window, I have verified that that's about right. However, I am completely unable to make my fixtures respond to the reset request this way. If I manually send a reset by setting channel 8 to value 80 (same as defined in the fixture file), the unit will reset as expected.

This leads me to believe that I just need a longer time for the reset command. Does anyone know if it's possible to change the length of time the reset command is set? Or is it hardcoded? Should I report this as a bug? Has anyone else run into a similar problem? TIA for your input!
