Hi All,
I am using FS version 3.3.2 on a laptop with Windows XP SP3. I am using an external MIDI control device which is working fine. My problem though is that I cannot get all of the Keyboard shortcuts to work. I am trying to set up keyboard shortcuts to Run Submasters. I go into Setup>External Control>Keyboard Shortcuts, highlight a function and press the key I want to use (which then shows up in the correct field), and then hit 'Save'; however, the 'Submasters Run' just doesn't seem to work. I have tried 'Submasters Toggle' and that does work (however there are only the first five SMs available with this option and I need more). I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong here (but I'm sure it's something stupid!), so any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for that; I'll give it a go this weekend - but before I do that, is anyone using tis BETA regularly yet? Is it stable? I'm a bit cautious as I have to run this for a live gig soon.

Re: Problem with Keyboard Shortcuts
Yes, the beta is stable. It has some great new features and only a few minor quirks. I've used it live with no problems. You could install it to a different directory (FreeStyler337?) and see how it works for you. If you back up your current set up you can always restore the older version.
I've run the beta continuously for 8 to 10 hours with no problems.

Thanks for the reassurance, I'll give that a go. Care to share any of the 'quirks'?

Re: Problem with Keyboard Shortcuts
Well I've just installed Beta 337 and it sort of works - it is now possible to ascribe a keyboard shortcut to run a Submaster, but the behavior is not quite what I expected. When using a keyboard shortcut to run a Submaster, the 'Stop' button on screen does not become enabled, so if you want to then stop that SM you have to either have ascribed another keyboard shortcut to do this, or click on 'Run' on the already running SM in order to enable the on-screen 'Stop' button (which you can then click on). Actually the simplest solution would be if there were options to 'Toggle Submaster' available for all SMs rather than just the first five. I think I'll head over and put in a feature request.LJ_krede.dk wrote:

Re: Problem with Keyboard Shortcuts
P.K: Sorry for the delay with a reply. The 'quirk' is in the making a new folder for sequences. Creates one just fine, but it's invisible until FS is restarted. It's been confirmed and is being fixed. If you're building a show from scratch it's something to be aware of. The new buttons on the submaster and cue windows save more time than the occasional restart uses.
