Help With Override buttons

Post by Kosh »

Long story short " how do i get a override button to run multi step scenes instead of just scene one "

My prob :
I had first programmed all my lights to use Submasters cue's and I would also manually change settings During the show

Submaster setting
I would have one page be scanners ( lamp , color, gobo, movement ) the next page would be moving heads, then next led cans , and lastly led panels

This would work "ok" but i was having trouble with cue's and submasters being overriden by each other or override my manual control .

So I started all over and programmed 5 pages of Over rides to do the same function
Page 1 = All Fixtures buttons ( blackout / strobe / color )
Page 2 = Scanners
Page 3 = moving heads
page 4 = LED pars
Page 5 = LED panels

right now , if i need a multi step scene i run a cue ( color fade wash etc, bathroom break )

I would really like to click a override button that would run a multi scene sequence.
example: click "color fade" override button and it to a wash color fade, click red and the wash goes back to red.

can someone explain how they program there freestyler ? maybe I am going about it all wrong

thank you in advance, sorry if i rambled

Overide buttons will only run the first scene of any sequence. They ideal for fixed / static cues or use of strobes etc.

You need to use 'cue list buttons'
Clear out the cue list so it's blank.
Then use ur submasters to get the look you want.
(the cue list will be populated now)
Then save this as a cue and add it as a cue list button.
Then you can hit one button and bring the cue to life

This is explained in my submaster tutorial.
