Relative Movement in Cues

Post by DJNekura »

Hi there,

Starting to get a little frustrated with the above subject.

Basically no matter how I set the Relative switch when creating a Movement Chase (Cue) it doesn't have the desired effect when being run from Positions (either overrides or other cues).

Has anybody got any helpful hints as to how to achieve this? Ideally I would like to create Relative Shapes with this routine which I can then assign to Submasters (like Shapes to playbacks on a Pearl etc.)

Kind Regards,

Simon Corby

Its for the moment you are creating a sequence and need to make relative changes to where the pan and tilt are at that moment, so its for live use (read: manual use) only.

im sure i posted a reply ... yet its now showing.
What i assume you are wanting to do, (and if not then its my idea hahaha) you want to be able to position your fixtures and than apply a shape around that point. And maybe also sequences that point to move and still have the shape track it.
Unfortunately this is not currently possible, the relative button allows you to set multiple fixtures to different positions, and move them all at the same time keeping in their relative postilions to one another.
Once programed into a cue these relative positions become absolute.
