Cue list button issue
Hello all. I've got a small issue and was wondering if anyone could help. When I open the cue window I've programed cues in to the cue list buttons. And the cues aren't that complex. This is the issue I have, when selecting another cue the previous cue stays on. I also have several cue list button pages and the same issue happens when selecting those cues from one page to antoher. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Cue list button issue
Hi there.
I do not know if I get you problem right. You want that when you start a sequence all other seqences where stopped? Or do you want that all running sequences are stoped when you select an other cue list?
First can be done by disabeling the option "cue multiselect always enable" in the FS option windwo Setup -> FreeStyler Setup -> Extra Options.

Re: Cue list button issue
Hey there Mavi. I mainly use the cue list buttons to run my show. Example I've got 4 moving heads and a couple of par cans. I crate the sequence, there about one step or so. Then save it and insert it to the cue list buttons, title it move 1, then move 2 so far and so forth. Problem is when I'm going from cue list button 1 to 2, some of the previous actions from cue 1 are present when I select cue 2. Multi select is not on so that's not the issue. Hope my explanation make scenes. lol.Mavi wrote:Hi there.

Re: Cue list button issue
I think I understand now what you want to do. The "old" sequences keep on running when you press a "new" cue list button? I never used this buttons but I have an idea:
FS only apply changes to channels, that are realy changed. This means if you have some par cans for example and now hit a button for your moving heads the par cans will keep on dooing what they did before. A workaround could be to create seqences for every fixture that should stop with only one step: snap or fade to 0. Hope you got what I mean.
But as I mentioned before never used that buttons so I do not know if there is a better solution. I like to worke with the submaster (and some override buttons) instad. Perhaps you would like to take a look on how to work with submasters and if it fits your requirements: http://www.freestylersupport.com/wiki/submasters

Re: Cue list button issue
Hi Guys, I've got the same issue here. Is there any chance to set the FS to "set all values to 0" when new button is hit?

Re: Cue list button issue
this is No issue from FS but from you..
Because FS works on LTP latest takes precedence
so if you switch between CUElist buttons and you like to set other Paramater to "0" you need to create a Seq for this and add it to the Cuelistbuttons.
other wise the Parameter stays untouched and keep there value..

Re: Cue list button issue
Yes...the above is normal behaviour for cuelist buttons and I feel your pain as I use them all the time.
When you change cues that use different types of fixtures, the fixtures that were previously active appear to 'freeze' and continue to show some attributes (ie stay lit, continue to show a single colour etc). What you need to do is create cues that enable the new fixtures and turn of the old fixtures. So for example if you have pars changing colours and you engage a cue for movers, make sure you include a command to turn off the pars.

Re: Cue list button issue
The easiest way to understand it is to think of all the attributes of a fixture as on/off switches.
You need to set up every cue to have an action on every fixture. If you don't then it just carries on doing the last command it was given.
The best use I have found for cuelist buttons is for theatre style control where each scene is programmed up under one button giving easy and accurate transitions to the next.
What I do is create the look I want for each scene / sequence with the submasters, making sure every fixture is given a new state (on / off etc.) then once the list is correct I save it.
I wrote the book on submasters control in FS and its still on here somewhere as a PDF so u might find it helps
