Hi there, I hope someone knows a solution for my problem:
I have created two sequences each with only one scene in it:
Sequence 1: Movingheads are in their 'home position' and are not moving.
Sequence 2: Movingheads are moving (very) slowly in a "eight loop".
Both sequences are added to the Cue list. In my case, the Cue list is configured to not play more than one sequences at the same time.
I have the following issue:
- Slow music is playing... Sequence 1 is playing in the Cue list and the movingheads are not moving. Then after some time I want to slowly move the movingheads and I select sequence 2. But after that, the movingheads will suddenly quickly move to the current position of the Pan/Tilt in the "eight loop", and then they will starting to moving slowly according to their "eight loop".
The "quick" effect from sequence 1 to 2 is awful and I would really like to know how I can slowly fade sequences from "not moving" to "moving".
Thank you in advance!
How to slowly move Pan/Tilt from 'not moving' to 'moving'?

Have you tried changing/increasing the fade time on the second scene? Not sure if this will work but worth a try.

I'm not sure it is a bug, but I agree it should be changed
@ Laurens: maybe you should try to write to the developer about your issue. I'm sure other users (including me) would be happy if it get changed

wont work. when you activate a shape the DMX values change instantaneously.stuv wrote:Have you tried changing/increasing the fade time on the second scene? Not sure if this will work but worth a try.

Re: How to slowly move Pan/Tilt from 'not moving' to 'moving
Thanks for the anwers. I will drop Ralph a mail.
It would be nice when the sequence fades the pan/tilt from the actual position to the start position of the shape with the same speed that is set in the shape window, or maybe even nicer, when the sequence fades the pan/tilt to from the actual position to a nearest position in the shape before 'playing' the shape.

I would prefare fast changes for fast music... So I think what you need depends on what musisc is playing (and maybe also other factors).
Perhaps you can try the following:
Add an other sequence where your movingheads move slowly from standby-position to a position near the eight and run this sequence always between your two created. Not a realy nice solution but a quick fix.

this might work as the shape feature overrides the dmx values when it is turned on. to avoid the quick movements the lights has have a posisiton near the shape movement. you can make a 2 step sequence (1st step: move to shape position. 2nd step: turn on shape) which can do this,, just remember to deactivate the repeat feature in the cue window so so the sequence will stay in step 2 and not repeatMavi wrote:I would prefare fast changes for fast music... Thanks for the suggestion. I will try to make such sequence.LJ_krede.dk wrote:you can make a 2 step sequence (1st step: move to shape position. 2nd step: turn on shape) which can do this
Is the shape running continuous (in the background) or does it start over again at a certain point every time when the sequence is called?
