With LedTrix it is possible to control an animated image and a text at the same time.
It is basically possible to select an image, enter a text and control the intensity, speed and so on, of the two parts separately.

The output to the matrix can be monitored in the “Preview” window.

Text entry is to enter text.
Text Font, Style, Font Size and Color can be set.

No text is displayed before pressing the “Set” button

Note: At this time sizes smaller than 10 are not set / scaled correct.

There are a direction control. This can either shift the text from
“Left to right”¨,“Right to left”, “Top to bottom” or “Bottom to top”
If the text direction is shifted when it is running then it will hold the position where it is shifted.
In the example above the text will start with 9 and count down.
If direction is shifted when only the part “2 1” is displayed then it is only “2 1” that will be in the display

The position is rest when the text is set again.
The example above will be centered around “5 4” when the direction Top to bottom is started.

“Freezed” Is just an other way than Pause to stop the text from rolling.

As written in the panel “Hold SHIFT and press a button to record current settings”.
When a macro is recorded the F number becomes bold. “F1”
The macro will also be present after the Freestyler has been restarted.

Buttons can be saved and erased by “right click” on it.

Faders
There are 2 faders “Master Image” and “Speed”

Fade in and Fade out.
Is an automated way to fade in and out the image with a fixed time rate.

Play / Pause
This is used to start and pause the animation. It is also used to restart the animation after “Tap” has been used or after the setup menu has been closed.

Tap
“Tap” is used to step the image frame one by one. Each time “Tap” is pressed the next frame is shown.

Inverse Image Check-box
The inverse invert the colors of the image. It is only the image output that are inverted (See Preview window) not the image in the LedTrix main window.

Faders
There are 2 faders “Master Text” and “Speed”

It is also used to restart the text animation after the setup menu has been closed.

Reverse Text Check-box
This reverse the text. It actually mirrors the text

There are 1 “Master” fader

All LedTrix images are located under the pluin. c:\FreeStyler\Plugins\LedAnimations\

It is possible to remove images that you never use or you can generate you own animation gif and then copy it to location above.

A freeware program like GIMP 2 can be used to make animated gifs. www.gimp.org

It is worth to think of the size of the images because today only 512 dmx channels are available and that limits the matrix size to 170 points or 13 x 13. This means that it is unnecessary to generate a images of more hundred pixels.
Most of the images in the animation folder has size 20×20 or 40×40 but some are 6×6, 10×10, 15×15, 8×14.
As it can bee seen in the figure above only the center of this 20×20 image are displayed on the matrix.
