File Already Exists

I am trying to rename a submaster but when I enter the new name I get a popup - File Already Exists.

None of the existing submasters have been named and I've tried clearing all of the submasters first.

Any ideas? Thanks!!

Please use the Backup/Restore function to create a backup of your Freestyler. ZIP the file and post it in this thread. I tried several things and could not duplicate your issue. I will restore your Freestyler to my computer and see if I can find the problem.

The backup file is attached.

Thanks for taking a look.

I could not replicate your issue.

The attached jpeg shows the submaster window after I restored from your backup, started Freestyler and opened the sub-master window. I see two submasters - one is named basement and the other has a null name as only the file extension shows.

The second attached jpeg shows the CUE list named basement - interesting that it only has 1 Sequence.

The third attached jpeg shows the CUE list named cc.

How are you trying to rename the sub-master? There is no rename function on the sub-master window.

The reason for the lack of sequences or cues was that this backup was created to show the error I was getting, not the show file I typically use.

I deleted the cc CUE list as I'm not sure how it was created so it was not needed.

I may have discovered the reason I was getting the original error. I was trying to rename the submaster prior to adding any sequences. I understand that the typical process would be to build and save the cue list and then load those into the submaster. I was attempting to build the submaster first.

So if I try to rename an empty submaster by clicking the submaster title, I get the File Already Exists. If I add a sequence first, the rename process works fine.

Thanks for verifying that it worked properly on your end.
