I have a problm, using a Eurolite 648/5 Led bar it's possible to change the groups of leds in the bar but, the fixture creator only permit to use 33 channels and the limit of the bar is 48. it's possible to separate groups of leds in the bar, so i want 8 groups that use 48 channels... at the moment i have change to 4 group, that use 24 channels, there is a way to use the full channels in the prog?....
Ok, i can use it anyway but i have another problm. when i'm using the pallet RGB.... is only possible to use 1 channel for Red and 1 for Green...etc. when i create the fixture the all groups can't be controlled by the pallet RGB, only the group selected. Is possible to change that in the prog? I use one fixture to one group of leds... imagine the number of fixture that i have in the screen... 6 bars...---> 4 groups of leds. it means 24 fixtures!!!! if i need to use the full groups.... 48 fixtures!!!

the number of channels is fixed.
And the colour picker is also fixed to 3 channels so would require a fixture for every 3 channels of rgb/cmy required.

I, thanks, i operate in that way because i don't have choise!!! lol

I hope in the future FS comming with a function to use more than one channel on CMY/RGB, or an option to run a macro...

if you don't want individual control, you could patch all the channels together and remove the other fixtures.
selecting the master fixture will then send the value to all fixtures.

Sorry to drag up an old thread but I have also just started using Freestyler with a similar LED bar that uses 48 channels. If I create several fixtures for it, how do I specify that one fixtures channel range should start higher than 1? E.g. Fixture 1 on channel 1-6, Fixture 2 on channel 7-12 etc. When I create a new fixture it automatically starts the channels from 1 and I cannot see anywhere to alter this.

If you add fixtures in FreeStyler (Setup->Add/Remove fixtures).

Find your fixture on the left, press the -> arrow, fill in the number of fixtures to add and FreeStyler automaticly numbers the DMX channels incremental.

I don't really see what is not working for you...?
