BUT, there is about a second and a half delay when using Freestyler on Vista... Not very impressive for BIG shows, but ok if its just triggering a few scans...

Hi kikabyte and all the others, yes, there is a delay when using Freestyler with Vista. As I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, Vista seems to have some kind of complex driver architecture. I tried to update the audio driver for my soundcard, but it didn't change a thing. The device is called HD audio device and seems to be a generic driver issued by Realtek. However, it works fine under XP, but shows the delay you pointed out. Even external soundcards don't really make a difference. Apparently there is an external Soundblaster soundcard available, but I don't want to spend 100 bucks on it.
So let's hope that the next Freestyler version has the "Vista delay bug" fixed.
Practice and enjoy (yeah, I know that this is just quotation)!

hi,
I tested with 2.96j, no latency, its ok for React to sound.
But, with, the '3', i can see the sound in Vumeter. But nothing move.
May be a bug or not.
I think i'll make a new post for this.

Hi Guys
Can everyone check their freestyler.ini file and look for all the "sendmessage=0" entries and change it to "sendmessage=1".
Also if you find double entries in the freestyler.ini file you should remove them.
Keep me informed about this issue so I can find a solution asap.
Best regards
Raph

checked freestyler.ini and found only 1 sendmessage.
It's part of [External control] and it is already =1.
