error 404 is file not found.
Either they have moved the link or there download server is down.
The address
http://www.nicolaudie.com/big/magic.exe does return a 404 error.
Send a message to raph so he can contact them and update if necessary.

I had the same issue, the trick seems to be download it direct from their site, and install it into the freestyler folder, having backed up 3 files
here's the solution from Raph, posted on this forum before:-
- Download Sunlite Easy View 3D (
http://www.nicolaudie.com/big/Magic.exe )
- Install FreeStyler and make sure you un-check the install Easy 3D option
- After finishing installation of FS, make a backup of the files: MEVP.dll, MEVP_VB.dll and DasHard2006.dll
- start the installation of Sunlite Easy3D, BUT INSTALL IT IN THE FREESTYLER DIRECTORY !!!
- Copy the files MEVP.dll, MEVP_VB.dll and DasHard2006.dll back in the FreeStyler folder

Having the same issue - wiped down my computer and did a clean download and install of 2.96j and M3dEV. Both seem to load fine individually (Easy View in the Freestyler directory) but when I click the Easy View icon in FreeStyler nothing appears to happen.
Have tried seperate installs and installing Easy View manually but only one of the three files mentioned is in the new install (MEVP.dll).
I have had previous versions running fine together yesterday - any ideas anyone?
Cheers in advance
Paul
