Good day all, I have been working to get this up and running for a few days now with no luck. Here is what I have so far. I have a laptop that's Windows XP, Enttec Open DMX Ethernet, netgear switch, Blizzard Puck RGBA. So far I can get the Enttec Node Manager to test Artnet and I can get the light to come on and off no issues. But I can not get Freestyler to output to the light for some reason. Is there a specific net work address that needs to be used? Thanks in advance for any help with this issue.

Hello,

i have installed FS 3.5.5 . in the controller preferences there is also the Enttec ode listed.
but i can't get it to work with it.
i have test different configs (btw. where is the config stored ? the freestyler.ini has an artnet defination but it changes not)

Is it really not posible that FS works with Enttec ODE ?

Interface and fixtures works with the Enttec node prg and also with PCDimmer prg.

can someone help.
please
regards
Walter

Artnet

Ok you need to go to the Freestyler Setup Screen.
Interface
Select Artnet.
Select a network adaptor. Eg. Realtek Gig LAN Card. Should have an IP address assigned by the router. eg.192.168.1.11
Broadcast address would be 192.168.1.255. 255 will transmit across the whole subnet so anything listening for an artnet signal will hear it.

Usually the DMX Ethernet Interface would also have an IP address but it would have to be manual unless you set it up as a DHCP device. The devices IP must be in the same SUBNET. Eg. 192.168.1.xxx

Once you have set this up restart Freestyler.
See how it goes.

I also forgot to mention to turn the firewall of while testing in case you do not have an exception in the exceptions list.

Hello,
thanks for your help.

i think it works , the first fixture is bllinking :-)

in the setup Settings from Controller i select
net :0 subnet: 0 and Universe : 0
ip adress from networkadapter of PC 192.168.3.1
broadcast 192.168.3.255

enttec is configured to DMX output and universe :1 and subnet :0

Yes that is correct.
I don't think Enttec has a Universe 0. So I think their first Universe is 1.
That is the correct settings for this instance. :)
You should now be able to test your fixtures. :)
