Button Test on Touch Screen user interface 2

I am new here so maybe its something I am doing wrong?
I am building a TS display for a 7 inch touchscreen display ( Mimo Display Link). As I was arranging the buttons, and pages, it became apparent that the button text was not persisted after an FS restart. This was on version 3.4.8. I then built it offline on a dev PC and the same problem occurred. The text seems to written to the .fts file OK (the default numbers replaced by the text you have entered), but only the default "numbers" are shown on the default TS 2 interface layout. This means you cannot label the buttons...
If you attempt to load the .fts file via "options/load" the custom text flashes on the buttons momentarily, then reverts back the the defaults.
Is this a problem anyone else has experienced? I am a bit stuck right now as I need to TS display to drive my new DJ / Light system...
Any help appreciated...

This is on Win 7 64 bit, and currently version 3.5 of Freestyler... ( although its the same behaviour on 3.4.8)
