Weird problem?!?

OK, added the 4 moving heads (I uploaded the fixture file 1 hour ago).
Started playing around fine.
All of a sudden, no way to open any properties window when one or more is selected, either through the menu, the "show all panels" button or the individual buttons.
OK, let's close-reopen FS (solves most often weird behaviors..)

BAD LUCK, same problem :-( :(

Any idea?

Thanks.

For all fixtures. Just solved, I went through all of the menus/screens of FS until I found it had created some weird groups I never asked for, including seemingly random fixtures several times in some groups. I never used groups up to now and never went to the groups screen.
Bugstyler :?

Update: problem had nothing to do with the unwanted groups... it's back! :-(

Update 2: by clicking several times on the fixture, the show all panels button, (I mean really several times), it finally re-appears... hope I don't get this during the party tomorrow...

Updated to 2.96H, same problem, happens randomly. When it happens, I click on the fixture(s) and on the "show all" button until it finally appears. Can take from 5-6 to a dozen clicks..

Freestyler automatically creates groups as you add fixtures, that can be disable on the fixture setup screen.

As for your problem its a very strange problem, iv used many freestyler versions on many machines with many different fixtures
and never seen anything like your bug, and iv experienced lots of bugs.

Could you make a backup and upload this could be a config error, fixture error or maybe even user error.

Kind regards
Matt

Yes, where do I have to upload it? In this thread? Note that I used FS for a party on saturday and I had the same problem on the notebook I used.

btw
Are the buttons disabled?
are you selecting multiple types of fixtures? Freestyler only enables the buttons for the last fixture type selected.
Are your last fixtures a dimmer pack? fogger? these don't have panels so wouldn't open any window.

a screen shot of your desktop would be nice , with exact steps starting from when you open freestyler (every button press, menu opend etc.) so that we can trace your steps.

No, when it happens I only select one or two moving heads, or one or two scanners. When it starts doing this I click like crazy on the fixtures and the show all panels button and it finally shows the panels.. ( I mean pan/tilt, color, gobo panels etc.)

can not replicate your bugs, tried everything i can think of and no problems.
Have you ever run a second screen? Or dragged your panels of the screen?

Like I said in the other thread, reinstalled everything from scratch, still the same problem, too. Could it be a problem with my fixture files?
