There are some issues when using the Velleman, I dont know if this is one of them.. Do you use a DMX terminator for your DMX daisy chain? if not, this could be the problem causing noise and flickering on the DMX signal

These will be the problem!

Seriously make sure that ALL your kit is talking on pin3+ or ALL Pin2+. If you have kit on both then you will need to cross polarity over. That it unless you have some kit which will auto detect polarity.

Note that pin3+ is the usual standard but more and more is now on pin2+

Hello

I used a cable with the 3 pin connected , and in the manual the pin 1 is common , the pin 2 is DMX+ and the pin 3 is DMX-

Pin 1 = common
Pin 2 = DMX-
Pin 3 = DMX+

This is how it should be. It should be this way when it comes out from your VM116. So if you use a straight pin for pin cable then yout pin2+ fixture is never going to work. You need to swap pin2 and 3 over. This will probably sort the problem.

I think if i have a bad polarity , the color changer doesnt not work.

My color changer work fine (light on , light off, choice of colour) but after use the dimmer the lamp flash a little .

Bonjour,

I have a similary problem, i've got 5 color changer macmah and when i use colors or gobo, the 5 changer doesn't work at same and when i want go back to white, changer doesn't go back.
I already try to put a terminator but that doesn't change anything.

Somedy can help???

Having just bought an Icolour 4 and using a velleman DMX unit I can confirm that any colour (or blend of colours) will flicker if not at full intesity.

Is this the problem as I agree it is a bit anoying?

Does anyone else see this behavious with their Icolour4 when using another DMX output device?
