i noticed a small "bug" in the geni oby-3 (which is actually the same as the showtec hurricane 250)

when using the 3d visualiser (and dmx output on the showtec) i noticed the gobo/gobo-rotation channels are swapped. so, adjusting the rotation gave me another type of gobo, and clicking on a gobo just rotated it.

I don't have a geni oby-3 zo i can't test whether the bug is in the freestyler fixture file or the easy view file. but here is a fix that works with the showtec hurricane 250 and the oby-3 in easyview...

Channel 4 - Rotating gobo wheel
Channel 5 - indexing & Rotating gobo rotation
...

In the fixture delivered with FreeStyler those 2 are swapped, Gobo rotation is at channel 4, the gobo selection is at 5.
So you're right. Thats a bug in de fixture file.

lol, even that manual is the same as the showtec version, except for the logo

so, swap the channels for the next release

woops! found another bug. The gobo number 6 starts at 120, in the current file at 114 or something. update...

That problem is not only with Chinese el-cheapo fixtures. I've had seen these kind of errors also with the better brands.
So Onge has a point. Maybe the manual is wrong. But still, then there is something wrong in easyview.
Either way, only someone that has this fixture can check this. For the moment, I think its good to see the manual as the 'truth'.

i'll test it on the showtec soonish. i'm 99,9% confident that they are indeed the same.
