Another update: 3rd "FS" party yesterday... I used a "new" 2nd hand notebook I purchased for FS (and to backup the main "sound" one..). Fresh XP install, with all latest updates etc...
Exactly the same problem. But, I found out that it seems to happen mostly with the moving heads, NOT with the scanners. Quite strange. So I still suspect something wrong with the fixture/fixture file. I made them both though, and checked it again, see nothing wrong (JBsystems MH-6606, I posted it).
Anyway, have to find time to "meet" you with remote control..

What was the interface that you are useing? I am wondering if its overloading FS. Also, just for giggles, disable windows firewall, Norton Internet security, etc.. and try it

Enttec Pro, with latest driver from Enttec.

It <seems> the problem is fixed with 2.96i RC1. At least I didn't have it yesterday during the party.... with version h it still happened very often.

Worked for a few hours with FS yesterady evening, didn't have the problem. Seems it's really gone with 2.96i, phew.
