'Lag' on Switching Cue Lists

Post by hcornea »

Freestyler x2 3.6.2, Enttec DMXIS, using the Enttec Pro profile (works fine)
Organising Cue for band lighting. Songs utilise two (or more) cuelist buttons for different hases of the song.

Steps for some of the sequences use Tap Sync; the others are switched off.

The Problem:

On switching to a new cue (using Cue Buttons on the right of the fast cue-switcher) there is a lag for any sequence that is synced to Manual/Tap tempo.

Basically, the sequence will 'wait' until the next tap before starting. Unfortunately (even though) in transparent mode this can result in a disconcerting micro-blackout until the the sequence starts and the lights come on.

Any setting / suggestion to minimise this?

Otherwise, :fs:

On further checking this, I removed the 'clear previous cue' which gets rid of the mini-blackout between cues.

The lag still persists, and I am beginning to think it is somewhat of a bug.

In particular, despite having 'always start with first scene' set, the step that lags (always the one with the manual/tap on) waits, and then starts with scene 2, bypassing and not displaying the first scene.

Could there be an option to start tap-tempo controlled scenes 'immediately' on cue switch?

Took a while to get back to this. (Busy)

Will put a bug report in as suggested.
